The Chicago School in Experimental Economics (CSEE) 2026
From November 4 to 8, 2026, the Chicago School in Experimental Economics (CSEE) will be held at Universidad del CEMA (UCEMA) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The program is organized by the Joint Initiative for Latin American Experimental Economics (JILAEE), Universidad del CEMA, and the University of Chicago, with funding from UCEMA and the Gracias Center for Human Sciences and Well-being.
CSEE is an intensive one-week summer school designed to deepen participants’ understanding of frontier methods in experimental economics. The course covers the full research process, from the design and implementation of experiments to data analysis, interpretation, and the presentation of findings, and provides participants with an opportunity to present and discuss their own research. The curriculum is based on John A. List’s forthcoming textbook, Experimental Economics: Theory and Practice.
The 2026 Buenos Aires edition will bring together an international group of lecturers, including John A. List (University of Chicago).
The program has been designed primarily for researchers working with experimental methods or interested in incorporating experimental approaches into their research or teaching, with particular emphasis on supporting junior faculty and doctoral and postdoctoral researchers.
The Buenos Aires edition of CSEE contributes to strengthening the regional community of researchers working in experimental economics, while creating opportunities for international academic exchange, research discussion, and methodological training.
