The Buenos Aires Global Semester goes far beyond a traditional exchange program. It offers international students the opportunity to live and study in Buenos Aires while transferring academic credits to their home institutions—and also introduces an innovative academic structure that is unique in the region.
Built around a modular, flexible, and coherent curriculum, the program empowers students to design a personalized academic journey focused on key disciplines such as economics, finance, business, and technology. Combining academic rigor with a strong global perspective, the Global Semester enables each participant to tailor their experience to their own academic goals and career aspirations.
Courses are delivered entirely in English and taught in person at UCEMA’s downtown campus, located in the heart of Buenos Aires’ economic and financial district. Students can choose the number and type of courses they wish to take—balancing theoretical foundations with practical and applied components. This structure allows for meaningful learning in an international academic environment.
The program will be offered in two sessions during the 2026 academic year:
- March Intake
- August Intake
In addition to credit transfer, UCEMA offers an independent international certification that validates students’ participation and enhances their professional profile:
Students who complete 15 credits will receive the Certificate in Global Business, Economics & Technology, a credential that recognizes their academic effort and global engagement.
Those who complete 20 credits will be awarded the Diploma in Global Business, Economics & Technology, a broader distinction reflecting an extended academic commitment and deeper learning experience.
Together, these elements make the Buenos Aires Global Semester a transformative opportunity for students seeking to expand their knowledge, global perspective, and career potential in one of Latin America’s most vibrant cities.
